100...
...days of school down! my little champs, made it! they may have missed the first 50, but they have adapted very well to their new elementary school. parker's class celebrated a couple weeks ago, and had fun crafts and activities they were able to do. quincy's class celebrated friday, and she was asked to bring 100 of something to share with her class mates. she chose m&m's, so dad brought home the biggest bag he could find. quincy counted out 10 groups of 10 and took them in a ziplock to school. she was stoked.parker had another exciting thing happen at school. he was chosen as one of sandy's respectful students, aka student of the month. it's a big deal...and if they had bumper stickers, i would put one on my mini van. the parents of the kids chosen are invited to watch them be awarded and to stay after for refreshments. i cried when they read his name. parker is such a good boy. so sweet and kind to everyone. always including those left out, and not caring what others think. he is a leader, and i am so grateful for his example to my other children. he makes me so proud every day. he comes home, does his homework without being asked, always gets 100% on spelling tests. it really amazes me and keeps me wondering...who does this dude belong to? definitely isn't following in mom or dad's academic footsteps. thank goodness!quincy surprised us when her picture was better than the one the principal took.
