"for the love"

"grandma is the nicest old lady," was what little p said after claiming his "prizes." the kids usually get to shop in grandma cheryl's store on special holiday's. valentines being one of them. grandma told the kids she was sending them a special valentines day package...so you know what that means. they asked every hour on the hour from that moment on. truly. between the 4 of them, they had every hour covered. due to presidents day, the delivery date came later than expected. but i bet these little recipients would agree when i say, "it was worth the wait!" when i picked up the package, first words out of my mouth were "for the love!" there were hearts taped to the box, and i could see a glimpse of the pink tissue inside. conway was so ready to tear into it, except i made him wait till the olders got home from school. i sliced through the tape and let them have at it. they didn't even know who's was who's, they were just excited. they all distinguished the "who's was who's" and everyone was thrilled. the thought crossed my mind as i saw the smiles on their faces. "no wonder we send packages to missionaries!" thanks again grandma! we love and miss you...and are counting down! tell grandpa we're excited for eggs, milk & toast on easter!
earlier in the month for a family night we made valentines for each cousin and sent them to arizona. i wrote the names, and cut them out in the shape of a heart and let the kids have at it. quincy was very careful while she colored, making sure she was the one who got molly, ellie and kalei's. conway cared about one heart, and one heart only. D3's. he spent almost the entire time coloring on his. tilley of course had to have all the little girls, and p took care of the remaining boys. they also made a special one for each set of grandparents. it was a "made with love" kind of valentines this year. which is the kind i love most.
