this year quincy wanted to invite
everyone to her birthday party...she named everyone she knew. we kept it to family, neighbors and friends. she took invites to class and passed them out. it read:
"CANE" you come help Quincy celebrate her 5th birthday! details were on the back. she told me she wanted
purple invitations, not pink.

grandma took quincy birthday shopping at target and walmart. the dined at mcdonald's for dinner afterwards. quincy still will randomly tell me things that happened during their shopping trip. it's quite humorous. "mom i can't have a sucker can i...grandma told me no too when we came here."

quincy shared donuts and grape juice with her class on the last day of school. she wanted long johns with sprinkles, and grape juice. first it was chocolate milk, but when she set her eyes on the little
purple juice boxes, she was sold.

hot cocoa and toast with fried eggs was the fist thing quincy wished for on her birthday. dad of course made it come true. she had only reminded us ten times the night before that she got to use the
"special plate & cup" for breakfast. the next thing she wished for went a little something like this, "i want my hair straight and my
nails painted red...please." {12•19•08}
we met up with family at peter piper for lunch. grandpa wayne and tony of course spoiled the kids with coins. i'm always a stinge when we go there.

and after lunch aunt mele took quincy to see wallie at the theater. i was shocked to find out quincy didn't fall asleep during the movie. she still my little sleeper. one ride to or from town will knock her out. the birthday girl hung with her name sake till the party begun.
the kids started trickling in, ready or not. quincy was a little mistaken. she asked, "where's santa going to sit?" and, "why aren't we watching polar express?"
which was last years birthday theme. we did what we could and replaced "the grinch" with "polar express," but there was no such luck on getting grandpa wayne back in that ghetto santa suit again. soon enough she was distracted by all her friends...the movie played, and some watched, while the others ran around and giggled. they got crazy with the cocoa and the popcorn, which the birds loved the next day.

ahh the gifts...the birthday song...the candles...and the cupcakes. thank you everyone who helped be a part of quincy's special day!

i love this little sassy girl. five years has flown right by. she has grown up so much, but is still my little girl. she is 100% girl....drama, emotions and more. pink is out, and purple is in...luckily she hasn't mentioned the bedroom sitch. she is the sweetest thing to her little sister, always includes her and nanny's her. cons gets on her nerves daily and she just adores her big brother. she thinks he is the coolest thing yet, and he knows it. she loves animals, especially dogs. ugh. she enjoys food, all of it, she'll try anything. quincy's usually the first one to fall asleep, and is hardly ever the first one up...and always has the sweetest bed head! her current fave is hannah montana, although i don't think she's sat through an entire episode. she makes friends easy. loves to color and doodle. she really likes to play and create with playdoh. she wants to grow her hair out long, and usually likes it curly. she's very cautious and careful...and to me,
she's a really big deal! love you so much sis!
