there were months of anticipation for this basketball game. byu vs. asu. in front of the number one byu players home crowd, and mostly family. we put our game faces on the second we woke up. dad even wore his gear the week before on sunday, to give everyone a sneak preview. the kids were just as excited for this game as they were christmas...which was in a few short days. we got sitters for the babies (2 & under). and pulled out just before lunch time. we arrived early and waited, impatiently....for our superstar to be unveiled. (12•20•08) 
we made posters earlier in the week, and held them high and proud throughout the entire game. we had blue & white hand clappers. and we lost a few voices. i'm sure number thirty has the biggest family cheering section known to man. and no doubt we can be quite annoying. throughout the game we all got texts from friends saying we were all over the tv...i'm sure we were just as entertaining as the game itself!
we spent time with this little man, we don't get to see much. while his mom and aunt crystal were interviewed about our "fear the ears" shirts, we continued to scream. some of us took naps during half time, and buck larson even did the half time show for us over on the asu side. boo! 
it all came down to the last shot of the game. we were hopeful. and in our hearts we were the real winners.
