summer!is what all the schools signs read today.
things started coming to an end last
friday.
parker had a kindergarten program, and a little awards ceremony. he won the
"class clown" award. aren't we proud. he was always coming home with "cougar paws"
throughout the year, for helping someone in class or making someone laugh. he has the kindest heart this boy. he is my little
softie, and i love that about him. he did so well this year in school and got
"exceeds grade level" in most areas on his report card. since
parker is young, he will get to do another year of kindergarten next year. at a different school. he's fine with it, and agrees...it's way cooler to be the oldest in class, than the youngest. after the program we watched a slide show of pictures that had been taken throughout the year. light refreshments....and 4 days remained.
3rd row down, right side. the one throwing the peace sign up. parker's signature.
parker sprained his elbow a couple weeks ago, by falling off the monkey bars at the park. the doctor thought it was broke. breaks and sprains don't show up in x-ray's. he had to wear a splint for a week, and then be x-
ray'd again. there was no "new growth." and are so
grateful he doesn't have to have a hard cast all summer long.
monday it was
quincy's turn to perform. her preschool class sang a few songs for the parents, which she has been singing throughout the year. then they watched a
slide show of all the different activities they had done and field trips they had taken throughout the year. they then
received their diplomas and were officially graduated from preschool.
quincy will
attend pre-k next year at
"the big school." which she isn't
that excited about. ha! their class of 8 only had 2 boys. the girls could be really silly, and loud. although
quincy didn't start till half way through the year, she made friends quickly. she is my social butterfly, always trying to include everyone. a quality that makes
quincy,
quincy. one of the many things i love about her! we're lucky enough to get to see
mrs. keesler once a week still, at church!

light
refreshments...and the cutest
summer packet for them to keep busy with. and a copy of the
dvd slide show, which we've only watched 500 times.
half day today, filled with games and snacks.
mrs. jones made us promise to call her over the summer so her and her son can come see all the animals
parker talks about all the time. it was so nice having her live close...since the school is not so close. we were able to carpool on some days, which was great. it's so comforting knowing your child is with someone that loves them, and cares for them.
mrs.
jones has been everything a parent of a first time kindergartner could ask for. she made all my worries subside. she is wonderful with the kids, and they respect her. i will truly miss her, and i know
parker will as well.

couldn't have done it without
grandma cheryl. the last month of school
parker went home with grandma. he went to her room when school got out, and got to ride with her home. big
parker then picked him up on his way home. on days big
parker took him to school early, he would keep her company as well. he loved it, and so did she. he would wake up early, get ready, eat, and brush his teeth, so he could make it to grandmas room before going to the playground. even if it was only 5 min. all her students knew
parker,
he thought he was so cool. i have told her over and over again, i
don't know how i will do it next year. who will watch over my baby! the only way i could have done it this year, being 20 min. away from the school, was with her. i cannot
thank her enough for all that she has done.

mrs. brenner, the principal. her first year.
i'm sure she's glad it's over. we appreciate her for all that she does for the school, the teachers and the students.
it rained all day today. what is up with the weather. 11o tues, 109 wed, 54 today!
