saturday suprises

Saturday morning, I hear the kids screaming with excitement and scrambling to get their shoes on. Buck was here. My kids love Buck (so does my husband), and are always so excited when he comes over....which is quite often. This time he drove his tractor. He filled the hole (Goatie thanks him). Then he gave rides. Buck (some know him by Brit Larson) is my sisters Father-in-law. His cows graze in our pasture, and keep our grass trimmed ;) We seriously can't thank Buck enough for all the many things he does for our family and our farm.
Saturday is always a "chore day." The list of chores on a farm are many. Parker usually works outside with the older kids helping hands. And Tilley and I take care of the inside. After the hole was filled, and as I began to head inside I saw Conway playing with what seemed to be a DOG. I yelled to Parker, "Conway has a dog!" Parker, playing stupid yells back, "What dog!?!" Conway is holding (or trying to) the pup and heading towards me....and Dad is following shortly behind, with that not so innocent smirk (which is always a dead give-away) on his face. Yes folks, the animals are multiplying....luckily the peeps have come to a screeching halt ;) Quincy (the dog whisperer) named her Sandy, and she now sings "Dumb Dog" (from Annie) to her over and over; which I admit will never get old to me. I can't help it. I love the joy a puppy brings to children.
