Worth it! So after a late night of coupon shopping (bed time=1:30am), somehow Lindsay and I had enough energy to get up and head to the Grand Opening of the SanTan Village Mall, the new Westcor shopping center in Gilbert! Lindsay has been counting down the days till the mall opened-literally. A couple days ago we got the email of all the Grand Opening events that would be taking place. Last night was the "Sneak Peak" event, live music, a fashion show and fireworks. We skipped that and decided getting up early for "Grand Opening" with GMAZ would be a better deal. Boy was it!
I picked the girls up and we arrived a little after 5am. We entered the drawing for prizes-but none of us were drawn...we still have till 9am. Dan had trivia during every break and Lindsay answered one of the questions right and won a SWEET ghost candle (valued at $4.75-lol)! We got Free bags, and Free Dasani. The best part was meeting the news anchors from GMAZ, News Channel 3. BP-heard of him?!?! We had a little 1 on 1 time w/ Brad Perry, he is hilarious.
Olivia is ADORABLE! So cute on TV, even cuter in person. She had heels on and was still shorter than me-decent. Take that Cheryl (my MIL thinks I am the shortest person in the world-she's like 2 inches taller than me)!
It was Gibby's B-day, so we sang "Happy Birthday" more than once, and they had a cake. Dan definitely didn't seem like a morning person.....and Tara got there a little late, so we only saw her for a little bit (her hair is NAST!). Rolf was there as well, setting up his stage for Free hair cuts (valued at $200!). We had to pass on that as well. We left at 6:30am, and headed home to get the kiddies off to school. The mall is amazing, you HAVE to visit sometime in the near future. The lay-out is comparable to Kierland Commons-so nice. You can't see jack from the road, you have to actually walk into the plaza, you will die.

GOOD MORNING ARIZONA!

There are events taking place all day today and throughout the weekend, so visit http://www.shopsantanvillage.com/calendar.asp to find out if any of them are worth making the trip. They have lots of events that would be fun for kids or for the whole family, and they're Free!
