Fall Festival

Last night we took the kids to a "Fall Festival." Parker's brother is head of the "activities committee" in his ward, so he organized the party (held in his cul-de-sac) and invited his brothers families to come. My kids had been waiting all week for the event....and I think they'd all agree that it was well worth the wait! It started at 6pm, and by 7pm Tilley was DONE. All the babies were a little cranky tonight. We rotated them in and out of the double and single strollers all night. Here Summer is trying to contain all 3-and this is BEFORE the party even started! They already had tierd eyes!
They food was amazing. They had a chili cook-off, which is the good news/bad news (if you know what I mean). "Best Salsa" contest (I would have won-had I entered ;), "Best Pie" contest, Home-made Scones-yum, Hot Dogs, and Home-Made Rootbeer! There was plenty of everything....I know I wasn't the only one who over-ate and left with a gut ache.

The "pony rides" were a hit, and went non-stop. I don't know how Davy wasn't dizzy from walking in circles all night long (I don't even think he stopped to eat-seriously). There was also a huge inflatable slide and bouncer-which are always a hit. I'm not quite sure what was going on in the neighbors front yard, it was either a giant "Twister" game or a "cupcake walk." Either or, I'm sure my kids made it over there. The fish pond was great, and so was the "guess how many gumballs?" game.
We stayed after to help clean up a little bit....and didn't end up getting home till around 9:30pm, WAY past my kids bed time. Oh well, it was a fun-filled night for the kids, and they passed out the second they got in the car. I wish I could have....it was the longest drive home (20 min...but seemed like an hour). Thanks Davy for the invite, and for all the hard work and effort you put into entertaining us all. You never let us down when it comes to food and fun!
