the weekend of orem's summer fest was freezing and rainy. we ended up not going down for the carnival on friday, and debated all day saturday on going to the parade and fire works. we ended up going, obviously, and the kids didn't really seem to mind the cold at all. we were lucky to have the wrights save us a front row spot, cus it got pretty crowded. the girls favorite float was of course the one with the princesses, and the boys was the "missionary mall." mostly cus they were throwing ties out, and both my boys caught one...only in utah.
the lee's met us in time for the fireworks. seriously, afterwards we all looked at each other and agreed that it killed any firework show we had ever seen in arizona. it went on for a good 30 minutes, and was amazing. it was pretty cold once it was dark, so the kids were bundled, and we even made a hot chocolate run to smiths...in june! crazy!
