WoCon 2010
womens confrence was amazing. 5 fun girls drove up, and i was able to spend 2 whole days with them. we spent our first day walking to and from classes, in snow mind you. we admired the blossoming trees, and stopped in the byu bookstore. my favorite class this day was on morals. a young, and very talented girl named lindsay spoke. she was the jr. miss of 2008, stunning inside and out. her personality was rediculous. she played the piano after, and seriously it sent chills up my entire body. what an example she is to all the youth, in these troubled times. man, good to know there's still girls that have standards, and stick to them even when the pressure is on. amazing class!day two, and class number one was slow. but hello class number 2, nobody's heads were bobbing, and there was lots of laughter. the class was on getting your kids to work, and boy did we all feel like we needed that one. there were a few speakers in this class, but the efy teacher was the best. he had us all laughing so hard. it was great. i have lots of really good notes, in the fun books linds got for all of us. if only tilley wasn't obsessed with pens and notebooks right now...i'd be able to find it. it was a class i wish everyone could have been in. sometimes we don't give our kids the credit they need, and don't praise them enough...i know i need to work on that. we need to let them help more, and by that meaning, not following behind them, correcting their every mistake. this is hard for me. baby steps for me...that next day, aside from their regular saturday chores, i let them all fold the towels. laundry is MY thing, i enjoy it, and i like it done a certian way. it was huge for me to see the towels folded, looking not so sharp, but to just tell the kids how awesome they did. they bragged to parker when he got home about their new chore even.aside from the Y, and WoCon, we hit up not one, but 2 tai pans...over it. and of course ate at every yummy place utah has to offer. chilis, einsteins, brick oven, iggys, kneaders, cafe silvestre and the creamery. i felt sick come saturday, and was in much need of a detox. it was sad to see the girls go, but just makes me excited to see them when we visit az. good times.
