XOXO
last year the kids took cans of soda to school for their valentines. the message wrapped around the cans said, "SODA" you want to be my valentine? this year since i wasn't feeling creative, and most of my craft supplies are in az, i had them do the same idea, with a little different saying. instead of soda pop i got tropicana...a little more elementary school appropriate. and the message read: "can" you be my valentine? (i debated on putting "can-a" but i didn't think the kids would get it.)parker was not thrilled about the pink shirt i had laying out for him this morning...he said he was going to keep his jacket on all day long. guarantee he ends up in just his thermal. it is snowing outside, but the heat in the school is always blasting!the big balloons and bags of candy for their teachers; is what they were most excited about delivering today. usually i make sugar cookies for the teachers, my mom always did that for my sibs and i in elementary. well she was much fancier than i, and did cookie bouquets, we disagree on sugar cookie recipies though...and mine don't allow being held up by a skewer. i let the kids pick this year between cookies and bon-bons, cus i had the stuff already for either. the oreo bon-bon's won. both are a process, with lots of little steps. but i think the bon-bons are fun, and make lots, so we have plenty to deliver to neighbors...or horde in the freezer for ourselves.
