pictures can sometimes be deceiving. even more so than the blog itself. my kids, and i'm sure other kids as well....act different when either mom or dad are around. parker had been gone for 3 weeks, so my kids were in "mom mode" when he arrived. course they are excited beyond belief that dad got to come be with us for christmas, and dad was even more so filled with excitement to be with those he loves most. with that being said...we were lenient on naps, and bed times...cus we knew time with dad was to come to an end soon. we had slept in spare rooms, on couches and sometimes even floors. so yes, we were all exhausted. it was the nagai's "on year" for christmas eve. so the kids opened their traditional christmas jammie's and book, and we got ready for our "pajama party." after dressing tilley threw one of her royal tantrums, quincy then followed....and yes, the queen bee (mua) finished off the trend...

eventually we were all cooled off, and nothing can help with the mood change, than a
room filled with family....and good food. as i loaded my plate, the white elephant game preparations began. we drew numbers and opened presents. lots of belly laughs, as always. little p won the gift of choice this year, a leopard print snuggie. second choice was won by uncle larry...a black goblet with the blingged out word PIMP! wish i had pics!

let the traditions begin...we played bunko, watched the nativity, larry read the scripture, in no particular order. and course we always end with dessert. my favorite is when ben busts out his guitar and serenades us. it set the perfect mood, for "beginning" the eve of.

we were glad to have gg home for the holiday's this year, it's been a rough couple months for the lady that started it all. and why we even try and get a picture with all the kids is beyond me, but we continue to do it. it is what it is. half of them looking and not smiling, and half of them not. it was a fun filled night, that was not even close to being over....we still had grandma and grandpa's (cummard) to visit, stockings to be hung, cookies to set out, and reindeer food to sprinkle....we were too tired, and forgot to do the last two :) santa however, did still make a visit...santa is too "nice," cus i'm pretty sure my kids had guaranteed themselves on the naughty!
