...halloween is over!"
the kids woke up on halloween to
pumpkin pancakes and orange tinted milk. i then packed a little suprise in parker's lunch. pumpkin shaped pb&j's.

a couple days before halloween i spent 6 hours stacking all our firewood for the winter. the pumpkins looked so cute all lined up on the wood. not as cute as the kids did though in their
pre-costume gear. the boys were so excited to wear their hand-me-down halloween shirts, and q had been waiting all week to wear her festive leggins i had got the year before along with tills scaredy cat shirt.

little p decided that this year he was too old and too cool to dress up into a "themed" costume with his brother and sisters. even though i had bought the captain hook costume last year to match accordingly. he thought being a Jedi was cooler. in the eve our
county island neighborhood gets together for dinner and then trick or treating over at the keeslers (in the culde-sac). it's fun for the kids and way easier than walking a mile between each house. we sit on both sides of the street and the kids walk up and down, back and forth till everybody's candy is gone....and the kids bags are full!

grandma, grandpa and uncle tony surprised us with a visit, as did uncle cam and aunt mele. that was the
best treat of the night! parker was so excited to get rid of my huge bin full of candy, which i had been collecting for the past couple months. "the cummards have the best candy!" was the word on the streets. little did all those trick-or-treaters know, every last bit of it was free ninety free!

the kids went on a hay ride and the adults cleaned up. and after we retired from the neighborhood party we let the kids watch a movie in our bed, while we watched a movie in the front room (some of us)....and ate lots of sugar!
happy halloween!
