halloween eve

conway had his halloween parade and was also the star student. he was so excited to get to take halloween cupcakes for the treat, and be able to dress as batman. when the parade started, he would not wear his mask and refused to sing any of the songs. it was a short little performance, with light refreshments at the end. after school we carved pumpkins at grandma cheryl's and had our traditional soup in pumpkin bread bowls. this was tilley's first year to carve her own pumpkin and she enjoyed being a part. parker didn't get there till later, so i helped all 4 carve their pumpkins. it was a messy job. the kids fed their guts to goatie, and i'm sure after 16 pumpkins he had a tummy ache. aunt crystal surprised the kids with hot dog mummy's as a little appetizer. they all got the biggest grin when they saw them. and then before we left aunt suzy brought over a tasty dessert. pumpkin squares with frosting. i think both of these should be an addition to the pumpkin bread bowl soup/carving night tradition!all these fun festivities wear my kids out. and i do believe they've just begun. welcome to the "ber months!"
