is spent here. at the
cabin. up north, where it's at least 20 degrees cooler than in the city. the kids play so hard here all day, every day. we celebrate 2 very
special events here each year....

the first one being...
parker's 6th birthday! 6 years ago on this day, i became a mother. parker's birthday is always a special one for me, and i can hardly believe how fast time has gone by. parker is such a funny boy. he is always entertaining. he is very social. definitely my softie. i love his freckles! he is the best helper to me, and to his little brother and sisters, they adore him. i will be sad when summer is over, and we won't have him around to help, and entertain us.

on our way to the cabin, we met grandma in payson. she took parker and harley (july birthdays)
birthday shopping at walmart and the dollar store, and to
lunch.
parker always picks to have
"breakfast for dinner," on his birthday. he loves my home-made waffles and buttermilk syrup. which he of course enjoyed on the
"you are special today" red plate. we always have a large crowd, being that the 4th of july weekend is always the LeBaron family reunion. he enjoys having all his cousins there to help celebrate his birthday each year.

we then
sang "happy birthday," handed out
party favors and opened
presents. the kids were for sure on a sugar high when they left the pink cabin!

and as soon as the festivities ended. the rains came down. and down. and down. it
rained and
hailed so much it looked like it snowed. it was the best weather we've had at the cabin in a long time. and was a perfect ending to a
special day!
