friday the girls showed off what they had been
practicing for months. in the car on the way there, they talked about how they all had
lipgloss on, and how they got to
dance on the
stage in front of everyone. they performed their dance to the song
"pitter patter". their
costumes were adorable. the
church where they performed was overflowing with
proud parents, and family members. the girls did great. i was lucky enough to be the
"dance mom" of
quincy's class. they sat on the
front row, and were the
first ones to perform. the girls
stretched, smiled for pictures, and then danced their hearts out.

us
parents are always grateful for short
3 minute dances. they all did so good, and had so much fun.
my camera was being really funny, the flash was acting weird. but i tried to get pictures of all the girls.

i'm sure
miss brittney is just as glad as we are that dance is over. you can't tell, but she is very pregnant, and was really sick. a few months into the dance season
miss stacy took over, she
choreographed the dances, and taught the classes. we are so
thankful for both of them, and their hard work in putting on their recital. and for giving us mom's
45 minute of sanity every
thursday ;) although we are glad dance is over (for now) they will be missed....and we can't wait for next year.

quincy was so excited when
mele ran up and gave her a
rose after her dance. i'm pretty sure it was dead 5 minute later from her smothering it. after the recital was over
grandpa wayne and grandma karen were waiting in the lobby for
quincy to come out, and when she saw them standing there with a
bouquet of flowers her face lit up. so did grandpa's. we then went outside, where another gift was waiting. grandma cheryl had attached a star to the top of a large pixie stick that said,
"for the star!" love
grandma cheryl and grandpa david. more excitement and hugs....

it's tradition to take the
dancers out for a
dinner of their choice for all their hard work.
quincy and molly chose
red robin-yum.
