all week long
tilley looked like this...

very clingy. restless. constant tugging at her ears. uncomfortable. never-ending boogers. completely miserable, but hardly ever complaining. friday was a much anticipated, and very happy ending to all of that.
tilley got tubes. remember: no eating or drinking 6 hours prior to the surgery! be at the physicians surgery center of tempe at
6:30am (parker, quincy and conway spent the night at grandma karen's), surgery was scheduled for 7:30am. tilley was very nervous, as was her mama. good thing we brought
my blankee. she held it very tight and kept it close to her face, almost like she was hiding from all the strange people. it was the one thing she could take back with her durring surgery. mom and dad couldn't stop kissing and loving on her. we were all anxious and a little scared.

i could hardly stand it when these strangers took her from my arms. i was strong. parker left to get a drink next door. i broke down; got it all out before he returned.
10 minutes later and they called us back to the recovery room. she was freaking out....we were told is very "normal." due to the
anesthesia. finally a
bottle and still holding
my blankee. she was very alert yet confused, and also very calm. she
slept at aunt seph's for 3 straight hours. for the first time since she was born she seemed so comfortable.

i took the others
swimming. when she woke up, she joined us. of course not getting her ears wet. she was so busy and
talkative. it was like she could finally hear her own voice. she was very interested in all the sounds around her. and she wasn't near as clingy (which i admit i miss a little). when i say she's been a completely different baby.....i mean it in a good way. it was a very
happy ending to all those yucky
ear infections.

saturday and
sunday were spent with
family. what could be better. lee, sarah and "baby lee" were in town. which is always such a special occasion, since we don't get to see them that often. it's always nice when all
6 brothers get together....and when all
17 grand babies get to be together too.

since lee was leaving sunday night, we had a early
birthday dinner for him; (his birthday is today)
happy birthday lee! we had great food, as always. topped off with yummy dessert, gifts and stephens money grab ($30+). another perfect
ending to a busy, yet great week
end. until...

...these little
knuckle-heads had to ruin it by getting in the
irrigation. in their skivvies!
classic.
