I could do without....

This fun little tradition. Every year we do a "progressive dinner" with the Cummard's. We do this, so that we all have a chance to see everyone's house decorated for Christmas. We've tried it the traditional way where the first house has the drink, the next, the appetizer...so on and so forth....and by the time we got to the end, which is supposed to be the main course, we're all stuffed. This year we did appetisers at each house, which I thought was better. I just hate getting in and out of the car, with the kids. I think there's still some kinks we need to work out. We usually start at the house furthest away from Parker's parents, since that's the landing point. Stephen & Crystal were party pooper's this year, and didn't have us over. Sad.
So we started at our house...at 6pm. I had nacho cheese dip with tortilla chips, and this yummy artichoke/jalapeno dip with pita chips (both from Costco). If you haven't tried the artichoke-it is so freaking good....you must, sometime in the near future.
Next was Lance & Suzy's. She made her yummy bruchetta (sp?). I think I was officially "full" when we left their house. 3 pieces later. She has their place decorated so cute, Suzy is very creative and crafty. The 2nd pic was taken specifically for the cute "Believe" sign she made. SO CUTE!
Davy & Syd's was stop number 3, and they had my favorite. Chicken Caesar salad from Oregano's! I had 2 helpings. They also had fresh squeezed OJ from the Orange Patch-yum! They also gave each of us a DVD made of Luke 2, to the Mariah Carey song. Love that.
Jon & Summer's, just up the road. Something sweet-thank goodness! Summer made yummy sugar cookies, and had milk for dipping. Can't go wrong there.
Last stop, David & Cheryl's. They would be the ones responsible for all these fun traditions that we do at this time of year! Cheryl had rice pudding and chips & salsa. A little sweet AND a little salty! She gave each couple this Santa from the Polar Express, and each kid got a Santa loofah-cute! One more even down....plenty more to go.
