Happy Birthday Uncle Stephen! Parker went to Schnepf Farms for a field trip today, he was so excited...and I was glad he was feeling better so he could go. I took the kids to see Dr. Carroll (Parker's cousin and BEST pediatrician!) at 11:20am. Luckily they weren't dying...and were well enough for Trick or Treating. After that we went to a surprise lunch for Stephen's 30th! Since it was kinda crowded in Ah-So I had Parker order us take-out and we picked it up and headed to Grandma Cheryl's. All the cousins met there at 5pm, for pictures.

Grandma Cheryl does a "Grandma's Store" for each holiday. She gives them each a certain amount of money (Grandma money-not real) and they take turns shopping in her store. She has the living room set up as a real store, with the things to buy sorted by price. She has lots of fun things for the kids to buy, and it's always so fun to watch them and see what they end up with.

After pictures and "Grandma's Store" we all walk over to the Clouse's. They put on a Halloween Carnival every year for family and friends. They always put so much work in to the carnival, and each year I think it gets better and better. "What smells?" Jackson doesn't wear socks with his shoes-EVER. He took them off when we were at Cheryl's and I thought I would die! His feet stunk so bad. He took"Trick or Treat, smell my feet" to a whole new level! Him and Talbot had a good time dancing at the carnival...and we all had a good time watching.

They had such yummy food at the carnival....look how cute that pumpkin is, it's a giant rice krispy treat! Caramel apples, pumpkin pie, sugar cookies, cotton candy and brownies....to name a few items on the dessert table! For dinner we had hot dogs, wings, Caesar salad, pasta salad, 7 layer bean dip and bat shaped crescent roll things. To drink.....home made root beer; must be a Halloween signature.

After the carnival the kids went Trick or Treating in Grandma Cheryl's neighborhood, and then we headed to Grandma Karen's. My Dad makes his famous chili every year on Halloween and they invite the neighbors over to enjoy it in pumpkin shaped bread bowls. They also have corn bread, rice (Hawaiians eat rice with everything ;) home made root beer (never gets old) and dessert. We missed the meal, but the kids got to Trick or Treat their neighborhood too. All the kids really wanted to do was see Indy's (Cam & Mele's pug) new puppies. They were born yesterday, and were so tiny, so the kids just took a look (a long look) and we headed home. I always love when they are all 4 passed out.....even though it's not fun carrying them all in. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween! We sure did!
