"For me, 9/11 is a reminder of the brevity of life and how I desire to live my life with that in mind. Each day is a gift and an adventure. I'm reminded to treasure relationships with family and friends. I want to seize every opportunity so that someday I will be able to look back and say that I made the most of each day given me." I LOVE THAT! (Quote from AZcentral.com)
Life in America Changed on September 11th, 2001. On the day thousands of people lost their lives, we realized that being a superpower did not make us invulnerable. I feel so blessed on any day that our country is recognized....we should show gratitude any chance we get to live where freedom rings. I will never forget what I was doing the day the America was attacked. It was 8 days till my wedding day, and my work (Bank 1) was throwing me a "bridal shower." I got to work early that day, just after the first plane had hit (which I had been listening to on the radio)....we all sat and watched plane #2 hit-live. We saw the people jumping from buildings, it was complete chaos. My heart broke for those injured and their families. 9 days later we were to get on a plane for our honeymoon. Security had never been tighter, and the airports had never been so vacant. We had a layover in LA, when we got off our plane at the LAX, it was EMPTY....it was a very quiet walk to our next gate.
