we met with the entire cummard side for a holiday dinner. it was nice to see everyone. how big all the kids were getting and all the new babies. we had a traditional christmas meal, and then grandma cheryl gave us each a large-ish JOY to keep up in our house all year round. to remind us of the power of serving. we got a group picturew, which was a fiasco. we waited on Q while she was in the bathroom...it seemed like forever. then we took individual family pictures with grandma and grandpa cummard. 
grandma and grandpa gave each child a teady bear, and the boys got asu hats....in exchange for the best prize of all. a kiss, a hug and an "i love you!" we then had a drawing. i don't even recall earning a ticket, but somehow i won. it was one of grandmas treasures. i felt very honored to get to recieve something that was so special to grandma. and can't wait for the day i get to pass it to one of my grandkids!
