6:30am came very very early, after a late night of fireworks and midnight surprise. poor tilley got an ear infection, and woke up with puss oozing out of her ear. on saturday, "jon/waynes breakfast" always kick-starts the reunion festivities. you start by placing two strips of bacon on the can, in which a flame is place underneath. next, take a piece of bread and eat a hole in the center of it. after the bacon is cooked, place the bread over the bacon and crack the egg in the center of the bread. cook, flip, cook, eat. sometimes with syrup....and a small a rock, or two. the kids love it. 
although tilley is sitting here....this hardly happened. she was everywhere, which is scary when you have burners all over the place. it was bound to happen...she teetered and then tottered, and fell over and burned her arm on one of the cans.
throughout the reunion the "big 10" and anyone with the last name cummard handed out tickets. you simply had to ask one of us, "what is your name, and what do you love?" it was a fun way of getting to know some family members you don't know, since the lebaron family is so large! quincy especially loves uncle jon...and he tells me every time he sees me that quincy is his favorite. 
then of course, unplanned...we had kickball in the meadow with a very large size kickball. not before trash clean up though. and a huge thank you to uncle jon for fixing the fence.

the theme of the reunion started out as the "f'n reunion." F-un, F-amily, F-aith, F-ood & F-un! cheryl however didn't think her siblings would appreciate that very much....so we changed it to m&m. M-milo, (M upside down) W-wanda. the two reasons why we have the lebaron reunion (parker's grandparents), and our heritage. crystal took pictures of everyone in the m&m costumes! 
syd was in charge of "plates." my all time favorite thing of the reunion. making plates. usually themed with the events that took place at the reunion. most of us did ours after the reunion, it was a little less chaotic. 
parker and stephen held a water-balloon launch. lance helped the kids make their own marshmallow guns, for the marshmallow war later in the day...and cheryl rested (or tried) her hurt hip.
summer was in charge of the missionary pillowcases, and the m&m guessing game. which kade (7?) stuart won. he carried the very tall jar of m&m's around with him the rest of the reunion it was so cute!
calee and harley helped the kids make fruit loop necklaces.
sarah helped the kids color their own "don't eat pete" boards, and then had them laminated, cut and delivered! sarah loves to color....and i think made 5+ boards herself!
and i helped the girls make clips covered with ribbon.
after crafts, and a little r&r, it was time to put your game faces on. marshmallow war time! all the babies were in heaven. there were marshmallows covered in dirt all over the ground. tilley just sat and ate. 
ah yes...and the competitiveness comes out in some of us.
and later that night it was time for the "film festival," and the watermelon bust. when the sun went down we passed out popcorn and watched a short clip of our heritage. then each of the big 5 families created a video for us to watch. we re-created the "cummard rap." it was hilarious. although we were missing a few people, it still turned out pretty cute.
again, spoiled with perfect weather, and great company. i slept like a rock that night....only to start it all over again the next day.
