to
quincy's curls. a few weeks ago
quincy had her hair in a
pony. she wanted it out. the rubber band was
tangled. "as soon as mom gets off the phone, i'll cut it out." is what
quincy was told, as i shewed her away. what mom didn't know was that...after a few short minutes, her
patience had run out. she located her little
pink scissors, reached behind her head, and went for it. her
aim was way off. meanwhile, mom
oblivious that any of this had
happend....hung up the phone, grabbed the
scissors (which quincy had so kindly fetched for me-delaying her fiasco in the kitchen), and
snipped the black
rubber band out of the
tangled mess. which is when
chunks of
blonde hair started falling through my fingers. what was going on. she had
pulled at it so much she ripped it right out of her head!?!?! she's crazy! i walk into the kitchen to put my weapon away and see
quincy's sheers and
blonde curls all over my dark kitchen floor. a few
 tears (mom's were sad tears,
quincy's were scared ones-
lol) later, and we both figured
life would go on.

after
debating for weeks whether to leave it alone, or to
chop it all off....tuesday i finally did the most
ridiculous thing possible. after giving the boys fades, i propped quincy up onto the bathroom counter and began to
cut, and
cut, and
cut. how hard could it be? her poor hair was
butchered. you couldn't tell,
cus her
curls hid most of the
blunt cuts....but it was a
hair dressers worst nightmare. thank goodness for
laree. she came over that same night i called her and
fixed it for us. at 9 o'clock pm. bless her. i couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, and
quincy likes it too-thank goodness. it's a perfect summer cut!
we owe laree big time!
