When we got home from church today, this is what we found!
Baby Otis was born! My kids stood at the fence for a good half hour watching him try and stand, and then watching the Mama cow clean her
newborn baby. The kids had a conversation on what they should name the cow. Brownie? nah. Bessy? nope. Annie, RJ (sad, they miss their dogs)? no. They finally all agreed on
Otis, which is the cows name on the movie "Barnyard." Apparently they get all their pets names from movies. Annie was from, well..."Annie"-duh. And RJ was from "Over The Hedge."

The kids were so excited that they had decided on a name, they were
racing back to tell Dad....which of course ended with
tears. They ALL wanted to be the first one to tell him; and as you can see, that didn't quite happen.
While we were eating lunch little Parker said,
"Mom! Now when we run out of milk, you don't have to go to the store, you can just get some from the Mama cow!" He was so excited that he had come to that conclusion! Big P...."Better get on that!"

This is how we plan to
celebrate after dinner! My cousin, Julie gave me these cute
ice cream sandwich molds for my Birthday, and I haven't had a chance to use them yet. I think today couldn't be a more perfect occasion!

My kids and husband loved the
farm animal ice cream sandwiches. Super easy, and
taste way better when they're farm animals...right! Cons was so excited he
finished all his dinner and got to have one like his big brother and sister!
