Long weekend=Long post

Quincy and Conway had a sleep-over at my parents house Wednesday night. I was up early Thursday preparing my "sides" for both families. By 7:30am it was off to the Turkey Trot! When we dropped Parker & Tilley off at Grandma & Grandpa's, we woke Anthony (my little brother) up and made him come run with us. He didn't pre-register, and the only reason he wasn't running it, was cus he didn't want to pay. He ran without a number, and got pulled off the course right before the finish line-lol. Parker reached his goal of beating me this year.....barely (by 9 seconds)!
Time for Turkey! The Cummard's had their feast at 12:30pm, we were running a little late, since Parker had to run over to someones house to fix their TV...and left me with all the kids, and all the food assignments. We finally got a picture with the 5 babies-how cute are they!Aunt Sarah was in town and made all the grand kids these little Turkeys. So cute! The body was peanut m&m's, which the kids all loved.
Then the girls and I headed over to my side of the family's gathering....which was an hour and a half after the Cummard's (2pm). The boys met us over there later; since Parker had gotten to his family's late he hung out for a little bit. It was fun having Brad & Malia in town for the festivities. Tilley hasn't seen them enough and wasn't quite sure about Brad, but every baby loves Malia.Everyone always looks forward to my Dad's turkey's. He orders them fresh, and they are cooked to perfection. They were delicious of course, my Dad is the best cook!
Black Friday was pretty mellow. I was home most of the morning, not feeling well. Parker worked, so it was just me and the kids. We headed over to my Aunts for lunch (left-overs)....and later that day my Dad took us to see "The Bee Movie." Tilley had a blow out....times 2! We left the movies with a naked baby, swaddled in a blanket! After the movie it was time to get focused! BYU vs. Kentucky. Kentucky ranked #6 in the nation....BYU-no ranking in the Mt. West. It was a very intense game, and Parker would have been thrown out had he been AT the game. He was supposed to go to the game, but stayed to work. BYU won and were to play North Carolina (ranked #1) the following night.
After a long night Friday night....still sick. We rested all day Saturday. Parker flew up to the BYU game, and I was home trying to "recover" from the night before. By 3pm, the kids and I had had enough of being cooped up in the house, and left to get something to eat. Since the kids had been good all day, we went to "sit down" at Matta's. Tilley's first taste of beans-which she loved! Then we went to see the Temple lights. It was the first night for them to be on, so it wasn't very crowded. It was still light outside when we got there, so we went in the visitors center and saw Luke 2....which is only 6 min. long, but just long enough! It was perfect when we came out, it was just getting dark, and you could see all the lights. I'm sure this won't be our last trip to see the Temple lights this year, my kids love it!

We went to Grandma Cheryl's after to play with cousins for a little bit. Then headed home to watch the BYU game. BYU hung with N. Carolina the entire game, and even were ahead a couple times. Lee got into foul trouble-again, and sat most of the 2nd half. Which is why we ended up losing by 10. My first night alone at the farm....without Parker. I didn't really have a chance to "think about" being alone.....cus all I could think about was how sick I was feeling. Wish I could take a "sick day."
