"Friday on the Farm, part FREE!"
Yesterday I asked my kids what they'd rather do, go to Chucky Cheese or go to the Superstition Dairy Farm. All 3 chose the "Dairy Queen Farm (that's what Quincy called it)." We ate lunch at home and met Wende and her kids there around 1pm. It was "Friday Free Day," there...which was great. Free ice cream (which was gone by the time we got there), Free chocolate milk, Free hay rides, Free face painting, Free crafts & of course a Free petting zoo (sick)! The weather was perfect! We were there till close-3pm, 2 hours was all you needed there. We even did the hay ride twice. The kids loved riding around the dairy, looking at the HUGE cows. We were even lucky enough to see BRAND NEW BABY calf's, born the night before....which you could bottle feed (we skipped that). I hobbled around, pushing and occasionally PULLING my stroller (due to the STILL numb foot)! It was nice though, cus the kids could just run around! Tilley was an angel, I'm so lucky. I did have to feed her there though, which was kind of awkward to nurse at a dairy farm! The kids were all so good, and had so much fun, I was glad we went!

RIGHT when we walked in this lady was carrying a
chicken, Quincy acted as if she'd never seen such a thing. I had to pry her away and convince her there were far better animals inside.

The kids were really looking forward to the Free Ice cream, but since it was all gone,
Free chocolate milk was the next best thing!

At first they just
looked at the
goats....
Then they attempted to
feed & pet the
goats!
Conway felt safe with this
baby goat.
The
cows wouldn't come near the kids that were waving the food in their hands at them, so eventually Parker just
threw his at him! It was
hilarious!

One booth had
newborn baby goats, and
puppies in one cage and they were the same size, it was really cute.

Q stuck her hand in the
bunny cage, and grabbed a carrot. She loved when it nibbled on it, out of her hand.

The
Free Face Painting. Bo Bo was quite the
cheeser!

This was bound to happen. Every other kid took a drink and then handed it to their Mom to hold....Quincy is my mini
OCD, and had to hold hers while she ran around (notice in all the pics she is holding her milk).
"Don't cry over spilt milk," right. This was of course after her huge tantrum that she couldn't change and had to wear her wet shirt.

DANG IT! To the left of Cons and the cows was a DJ, and Conway had stopped in front of the cows and was totally
dancing. I ran over with my camera, and he turned around and saw me and stopped!

The kids being silly on top of a
giant hay stack!
Hay Ride #1, yes there was a 2
nd. It was quite educational too. Our "tour guide" worked on the farm....Did you know every time a cow is milked, they produce
8-10 GALLONS of milk! Each cow is milked 2x a day. The cows are have 4 baths a day as well.....2 in the "cow wash" and 2 times they are washed by hand. I could go on and on....I really was amazed!

They even had cow
CHARACTERS!
I mean seriously, characters, animals, rides, food, face painting....who needs Disneyland!(You still have to
sanitize when you leave Disneyland too...right! Same diff!)
