SUMMARY: A 2007 All-Mountain West Conference Third Team selection, Cummard is a good athlete with a natural feel for the game who started all 34 games for the Mountain West Conference Champion Cougars as a sophomore. An all-around contributor, he led the team in shooting, steals and minutes while ranking second in assists and blocks and third in scoring and rebounds. He also ranked among the top 15 in the MWC in seven statistical categories. Cummard contributed significantly for the Cougars in his first season, making 14 starts, after some experts rated him as the top shooting guard prospect in the West in 2004. Known as a fierce competitor, Cummard has good ball-handling skills, excellent shooting range and the toughness to rebound and finish in traffic.
